Global warming is causing Ireland's climate to become "warmer and wetter", according to a new report published by the Environment Protection Agency (EPA). The analysis, conducted with Met Éireann and the Marine Institute, is the second study of essential climate data, which shows sea levels and temperatures are rising.
3. Four people rescued as 'Giuliana' yacht sinks off Wexford Coast
A yacht - the Giuliana, has sunk 90 kilometres off the Wexford coast after experiencing difficulties in the early hours of this morning. The RNLI lifeboat at Kilmore Quay and Waterford based helicopter Rescue 117 were involved in the operation to rescue four people on board.
4. Calls for urgent review of racecourse attendances as Tramore festival gets underway
The Association of Irish Racecourses (AIR) is calling for an urgent review of attendance restrictions. The association, which represents 26 courses, says there is a growing frustration at capped attendance for spectators and the lack of clarity around when racegoers can attend in greater numbers. The Tramore races got underway this evening with numbers capped at 500.

The art installation on Michael Street and The Apple Market, is a collaboration of work by visual artists, actors and musicians from Waterford and involves a series of large scale rings using a pallet of fabrics, steel and other materials. These were hung over Michael Street and the Apple Market and on adjacent buildings. A writer, actors and musicians working at Garter Lane created two accompanying soundtracks.
6. Hindu leader criticises Roy Keane for blaming yoga for his 'worst ever' performance
A Hindu leader has criticised Roy Keane for blaming yoga for his “worst ever” football performance. The Cork man said he tried yoga for the first time a few days before Manchester United faced Real Madrid in 2003. Keane said he didn't have much energy for the match.
