It's been reported that Tesco are seeking to construct a store in Dungarvan.

A planning application was submitted to Waterford City & County Council last week in relation to a 1.49 hectare site on Richard A. Walsh Street in the town, with the intention of developing a retail store.

The site in question is at the rear of the local SGC Cinema. Any proposed development will consist of the construction of a 1-2 storey anchor convenience and comparison retail store.
The proposal includes a retail sales area, office and storage space as well as a café.
It's also hoped that a 186-space car park can be constructed.
Any development would also cater for the replacement of existing site access from Richard A. Walsh Street with a new vehicular entrance for customers and with separate service/delivery access proposed via Shandon Street/Davitt's Quay.
Plans also include the provision of an ESB substation/switch room, plant areas, roof PV panels, signage, landscaping, boundary treatment and all associated site development works and service provisions.
Tesco have five stores in Waterford at present - in Ballybeg, Poleberry, Ballycarnane, Lisduggan and Ardkeen.
