Teenagers hospitalised after incident at house in Mooncoin

Four teenagers have been hospitalised following an incident at a house in Mooncoin, in south Kilkenny this morning (Friday).

Three boys and one girl were taken to University Hospital Waterford for treatment with one of the boys then taken to Cork University Hospital.

Gardaí have confirmed to WLR News this evening that they were called to the scene of a medical emergency, which is understood to have been drug-related.

Ambulances arrived shortly before 11 o'clock.

A large Garda presence was seen in the vicinity of the Comeragh View estate in the village for much of the day.

The condition of the teenagers has not been disclosed and Gardaí say that no further information is available at this time.
