Gardaí and emergency services are currently at the scene of a serious road traffic collision on the Clonea Road, Dungarvan.
An accident occurred this afternoon where a collision involved a car and a cyclist.
The cyclist, a girl in her teens, has been removed from the scene by air ambulance to Cork University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
No other injuries have been reported at this time.
The road is currently closed for forensic examination and local diversions are in place.
Dungarvan Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses who were in the Clonea Road area this afternoon and who may have footage (including Dash Cam) to make it available to them. The road is expected to be closed for some time to assist with technical examinations.
