Two swimmers were rescued from the Lady's Slip in Tramore yesterday evening.
They were part of a group of four and a member of their family called the Coast Guard when noticing they were in difficulty.
The lifeboat was dispatched at approximately 17:42 and the Coast Guard brought one person to safety, while members of the public assisted the other.
Rescue 117 was in the area as part of the multi-agency rescue operation, and deployed a paramedic onto the nearby beach.
All individuals involved were safely returned to shore and did not require any medical treatment.
