Permission is being sought from Waterford City & County Council to construct a five storey student accommodation complex in the vicinity of Templars Hall.

Plans were lodged for the site on the Lacken Road in Kilbarry by Mr. Tony Robinson.
The applicant is seeking permission for the demolition of an existing dwelling on the site; which will pave the way for the construction of the proposed five-storey student accommodation building.

It is hoped that the building will contain 94 bedrooms with ancillary services, surface car parking spaces, bike storage, and bin storage with access to the development from Lacken Road.

Permission has also been sought for the associated site works, signage, open space, landscaping, and boundary treatments.

A decision on the development will be issued by Waterford Council on the 21st of August.
