St. Patrick's Day parades in Waterford - all you need to know | WLRFM.com

Waterford is gearing up for a spectacular St. Patrick's Day this Sunday, with five separate parades taking place across the city and county.

Waterford City

The Grand Marshals for the 2024 parade are the Waterford Senior Camogie team. The parade gets underway at 1pm at Waterford Bus Station and will proceed along The Quay and finish on The Mall. The city's festival will run for four days from March 15th–18th. You can find full details here

Dungarvan

The Dungarvan St. Patrick's Day parade starts at Crotty's Corner from 2pm and will travel through Abbeyside, across Devonshire Bridge, into The Square and up O'Connell Street. The Grand Marshals are local couple Tom and Carmel Keith.

Tramore

The Tramore St Patrick's Day Parade will get underway at 1.30pm. Walking groups are to assemble from 1pm in the Cannon's field car park and vehicles are to line up along the Old Waterford Road from the entrance of Sweetbriar. The parade will then make its way to the viewing stand outside the Railway Station building. Michael Gregan of Tramore Athletic Club is this year's Grand Marshal.

Portlaw

Portlaw's St. Patrick's Day Parade starts at 12 noon at the Church car park for walking groups. Floats and machinery will join from Coffey's Corner, proceed up Queen Street, down Brown Street and continue to The Square. Local legend Michael 'Tuller' O'Sullivan is this year's Grand Marshal.

Clashmore

After a difficult period late last year when the area experienced significant flooding, Clashmore has reason to celebrate as it hosts a St. Patrick's Day parade this year. It gets underway at 1pm.
