Down Syndrome Ireland has asking everyone to wear their most colourful socks today to mark World Down Syndrome Day.

DSI's Waterford members have put together a window display in the City Square Shopping Centre for their "See the Able Not the Label" campaign.

They also have window displays in Dunnes Stores in Dungarvan.

The charity has published a report highlighting the crisis in children’s disability services.

DSI CEO Barry Sheridan says providing these services is vital for early development:

"We have heard from individual parents who've been waiting for years to get access to early speech and language services, or other therapies within their area.

"And it's across the country. We're still having to fight so hard for what is a basic human right."
