The search for a missing Ferrybank man has been stood down, following the discovery of a body.
40-year-old Phillip Quigley had been reported missing from his home in Waterford on Thursday the 7th of July.
A fresh appeal for information was issued by Gardaí the following week as concern for his welfare increased.
However, in a statement to WLR today, Gardaí now say that "following the discovery of a body of a male in Mullinavat, Co Kilkenny on Monday the 18th of July", the search for Phillip has been stood down.
They are thanking both the public and the media for their assistance.
