Schools in Waterford to open later due to Storm Debi

Many schools across Waterford are operating on reduced hours today due to the impact of Storm Debi.

In Waterford city, both De La Salle College and the Presentation Secondary School will open at 10am, with classes commencing at 10.20am.

Elsewhere in the city, Mount Sion CBS Secondary School will commence classes at 10am, while St. Paul's will begin teaching from 10am, with doors opening at 9.45am.

Abbey Community College in Ferrybank will also open at 10am due to the weather warning active in the Kilkenny region.

Schools have said this is to allow for students and staff travelling from counties under a red or orange warning.

Waterford remains under a Yellow warning for wind.
