Most schools across Waterford city and county are re-opening today following yesterday's closures.
Some have announced later start times to ensure the safe transportation of students and staff.
The majority were closed yesterday (Monday) due to the impact of the cold weather conditions.
Kill National School in Mid County Waterford will remain closed today (Tuesday) due to a burst water mains in the village.
In a statement, Uisce Éireann says repairs to the mains have cause supply issues in Kill and the surrounding areas of Ballylaneen, Annestown and Bonmahon.
"We recommend that you allow three to four hours after the estimated restoration time for your supply to fully return."
Uisce Éireann says works will continue this morning, however water restoration has already been reported in some areas.
