Gardai in Waterford are investigating an assault that took place in the Railway Square area of Waterford City on Monday morning.
The assault took place at 11 a.m.
In a statement to WLR, Gardai said enquiries are currently ongoing.
It's believed a man was brought to University Hospital Waterford as a result of injuries sustained during the incident.
