Fashion retailer New Look is to exit Ireland and its 347 workers across the country are facing redundancy.

New Look has 26 stores in Ireland, including a store on High Street in Dungarvan.

The High Court today approved the appointment of Shane McCarthy and Cormac O'Connor of KPMG Ireland as Provisional Liquidators over the business and its assets.

Staff have been notified and further staff engagement is planned.

A New Look spokesperson said their Irish operation has struggled, impacted by factors including supply-chain, in-market costs and squeezed consumer spending.
