The cruise ships will be a welcome return to the Port of Waterford, as the Pandemic had an impact on its profits. The loss of parking income and the absence of cruise businesses saw turnover fall by 8% in 2020 compared to 2019.
The footfall is also expected to bring a significant boost to Waterford City with the increased spend from tourists.
Meanwhile, a new sailing along the river between Waterford and New Ross started in March. More here.
