The Waterford based Causeway Group have requested permission to develop an additional 10 bedrooms in The Sands Hotel, Tramore.
At present, the capacity of the hotel is 42 bedrooms, the group have applied to the planning department to increase figures to a 52-bedroom occupancy.
Elevational drawings detailing ground and first floor plans show bedrooms 348-352 located on the ground floor, taking up some of the current nightclub space known as 'The Baldy Man.'
Additionally, five further bedrooms 323-327 are proposed for the high ceiling space above the nightclub where there is currently empty space.
A decision is expected on the development on or before January 23.
Should the development be granted, the Causeway Group will hold permission for a period of five years.
