Planning permission has been requested for a second time for a significant motorhome development at Tramore Burrows.

This follows a refusal by Waterford City and County Council in June of this year.

Permission was requested in September of last year by Aengus Rory Walsh to develop a 53 motorhome park at Tramore Burrows.

Also included in the application were four family-friendly glamping pods, a one-storey surf club, an eight-street food truck street plaza, and a two-storey cafe building.

Further Information was sought from the Council on a variety of areas.

Permission was subsequently refused on the grounds of flood risk and future impacts of climate change.

It was the view of the planning department that the risks were not addressed fully in the application, and the proposed development was deemed a flood risk.

A new application for planning permission has been submitted for the same development by Aengus Rory Walsh.

The proposed development is intended for lands owned by Waterford Castle Hotel and Golf Club Limited.
