A new Pathfinder Project aimed at promoting active travel has been launched in Waterford.
It will result in many visible changes across the City and County and help Waterford reach it's goal of being Ireland's first carbon neutral city by 2040.
Active travel includes walking or cycling.
This means the Pathfinder Project will see cycle lanes being improved and interconnected.
New bus connects will also be developed. The Greenway will connect Dungarvan to Youghal.
Waterford Green TD Marc O'Cathasaigh told WLR News he hopes people will get on board with the project.
"Like all Waterford people, I'm dying to see cranes on the North Quays site. Hopefully within the next couple of years, people are going to be more confident to get out of their cars, leave their cars at home, and either take the bus, or walk or cycle to work," he said.
