A 27 unit housing estate in Passage East has been given the green light.

A combination of three and four bedroom houses will now proceed in Crooke in Passage East.

Waterford construction company S+K Carey Ltd. are expected to break ground in the new year close to Passage Hurling Club and Harbour View housing estate.

The new development will comprise of 10 two-storey units with four bedrooms, 14 two-storey units with four bedrooms, 2 two-storey end-of-terrace, and 1 two-storey three-bedroom dwelling house.

A new access road into the proposed development was granted through a previous planning application made by S+K Carey Ltd. Included in the plans are a connection to the existing public foul and surface water drainage, associated boundary treatments, and all associated site development works.

This follows a separate application for planning on an adjoining plot which was granted July of last year for 19 houses.
