The county is currently under a Status Yellow Wind warning until 11.30pm tonight (Wednesday) as Storm Dudley and Storm Eunice are expected to cause significant disruption across the island over the coming days, with flooding possible in some areas and gusts expected to reach 110 km per hour.

Met Eireann has now issued an Orange Wind Warning to Waterford, Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway and Wexford, saying Eunice will bring severe and potentially damaging winds and gusts of up to 130 km per hour, higher in exposed areas.

The warning will be in place from 5am Friday to 11am that day.

Storm Dudley is expected to clear away on Wednesday night, after a day of heavy rain and strong winds, according to Met Eireann.
