The overall Pride of Place Award also went to the Cape-ability Club.

Cathy Martin and Sandra Dowd were among the founders of the Cape-Ability Club and they spoke to WLR following the awards.

"To get the big award is just absolutely outstanding and it's a little bit of recognition for what we've been doing," they said.

Cathy and Sandra shared how the idea came about after they met over coffee and needed something social for their daughters.
