Waterford will have 30 speed camera zones in operation from 6am tomorrow as a new one is being added to the county's roads.
An Garda Síochana announced that 61 speed cameras will be added to roads across the country, with Waterford getting just one more.
The new camera will be on Waterford's R680 from the City to Carrick-on-Suir. The remaining 60 will be spread across 23 other counties.
Locations were selected following data collected by Gardaí from fatal, serious, and minor road traffic collisions. Local communities also shared their input through local Garda engagement.
The primary purpose of safety cameras is to reduce speed-related crashes and to save lives.
