Waterford City and County Council is introducing an eParking app.

The new app can be used for parking in any Council-run car parks and on-street parking spaces.

It's to address the demand for a more convenient, safe and environmentally friendly parking option throughout the city and county.

Mayor of Waterford City and County, Cllr. Joe Kelly welcomed the news,

This new way of paying for parking will be most welcome to a large majority of Waterford people, given that a lot of us have switched to cashless methods when paying for our goods and services.

How the eParking App works

Users can download the free ‘Waterford eParking’ App from the App Store, Google Play or simply scan the QR Codes which have been placed at parking machines.

You can also pay using the website www.waterfordeparking.ie or pay by phone at 061-311422. There are no additional charges for using this service; you only pay for your parking.

To park up your vehicle, scan the QR code or download and open the App on your phone and select the ‘Park’ option. From the map or carpark list, select the location of where you wish to park, how long you want to park for, and pay from the pre-purchased credit or from your ‘wallet’ as a one off payment.

You can also add different vehicles to your mobile eParking App if you have more than one car.
