A local business owner is to be recognised in the form of a musical.
Michael Flynn otherwise known as Mattress Mick will have his life portrayed in a musical in Dublin's Liberty Hall on the 27th and 28th of April.
The chain has 9 stores nationwide opening its Waterford store in 2020.
Speaking to WLR News, Michael said it is an honor to have his life played out on stage.
He added:" It's a musical based on my business life from the time I was in my 20s until the present day. I started off in a place called the Dandelion market in Dublin.
Each song depicts a part of my life as I go through it with the opening of my shops, meeting my wife, and the history of my life."
The brand came to light through Mattress Mick's quirky style and advertising tactics which boosted the business itself and is now a household name around the country.
He continued to say:" I am happy with the response and the public has been so good to me. It is a great boost not only to my own confidence but also to the mattress mick brand as a whole."
