A man in his 60s has died in a car crash in the village of Curracloe, County Wexford.

The man who was the sole occupant of the car was taken to Wexford General Hospital where he later passed away.

Forensic Collision Investigators are currently examining the scene of the single-vehicle collision and a post-mortem examination will take place at a later date.

A number of road closures are currently in place in the area including the road through Curracloe Village.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward including drivers who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling in the area between 10:15am and 10:35am.
