Local businessowners request permission for 60-unit Stradbally development

Two local businesses owners have sought planning permission to build 60 homes in Stradbally, Co. Waterford.

The application includes plans for both detached and semi-detached houses.

Landowners Caroline and John Whelan intend to build 56 two-storey semi-detached houses and 4 two-storey detached houses on lands located in the Stradbally More area of Stradbally.

The proposed development sitting on more than 7 acres of land will be accessed from Chapel Road.

Planning permission for development of the site was previously requested and subsequently withdrawn in 2007 and 2011.

12 houses will be provided for social and affordable homes, while the remainder will be privately owned.

The application is available for public viewing and submissions, and a decision will be made on the development by December 16th.
