A new series from Catherine Foley and RoseAnn Foley will air on WLR from 6:30pm this evening, January 3.
GAEILGE SA GHALLTACHT will be 10 episodes long and will focus on the Irish language across Waterford.
Catherine Foley, who conducted the interviews for the series says the programme is about real people and their lives.
Her collaboration with her sister, RoseAnn Foley saw a full suite of speakers take part in the programme.
Speaking to Déise Today, she said the series explores the individual reasons people have for their love of the Irish language.
"This series is about their lives, where their love of Irish comes from. Really, we tell their lives, where they grew up, who their parents were."
Referencing Waterford man, Pat McEvoy, Catherine says when she meets him on the street, they fall into speaking Irish together.
