The SSE Airtricity Premier Division fixtures for the 2021 season have been confirmed.
Waterford FC will have to travel to Co Louth for their opening game of the 2021 Premier League season.
They will play last season's First Division Champions Drogheda United on the opening day of the competition - Friday, March 19th.
Also that evening Champions Shamrock Rovers are set to host St Patrick's Athletic at Tallaght Stadium.
Elsewhere, FAI Cup holders Dundalk will travel to Sligo Rovers, Finn Harps will host Bohemians and newly-promoted sides Drogheda United and Longford Town host Waterford and Derry City respectively.
The mid-season break in the 2021 season will take place between Series 14, 28th/29th May, and Series 15, 11th/12th June.
As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and the late start to the season, the 2021 edition of the EA SPORTS Cup has been cancelled. The 2021 FAI Cup will begin on the week ending Sunday, July 25th with the FAI Cup final scheduled for the week ending Sunday, November 28th.
All fixtures are subject to change with TV broadcast details set to be announced at a later date.
The fixtures for the SSE Airtricity League First Division and the SSE Airtricity Women's National League will be released on Monday, February 8th.
