The first senior All-Ireland inter-county final of a hectic year is finally upon us as Kilkenny and Galway travel to Croke Park vying for the O'Duffy Cup in the culmination of this year's Camogie championship.

Recent results will favour the ladies from the west, but an emphatic charge to the final from Kilkenny, including a courageous semi-final comeback against Cork, has given them every reason to fancy their chances.

Galway bested their opponents last year to become champions, winning on a scoreline of 3-14 to 0-17, but Kilkenny maintain the overall bragging rights, holding 13 All-Ireland titles to Galway's three.

In terms of big day experience, neither side is lacking, with Galway having appeared in five All-Ireland finals since 2010 compared to Kilkenny's six.

Both sides have trusted sharpshooters, proven by the 9-64 and 10-56 championship tallies Galway and Kilkenny have racked up this year respectively, making a strong defence the order of the day.

The Galway team is due to line-out unchanged from the starting 15 that beat Tipperary in the semi-final, as are Kilkenny from their 2-10 to 1-11 win over Cork.

The game throws-in at 7pm and will be televised live on RTÉ Two.
