A local Councillor says the new Minister of Transport must be lobbied regarding junction safety on the N25.
Fianna Fáil Cllr Tom Cronin spoke during this month's plenary meeting of Waterford City and County Council.
"The N25 which I have raised at meetings the last number of years is something that needs to be addressed, particularly when it comes to the safety at some of our junctions approaching and exiting
"When we have a new Minister for Transport, they need to be lobbied and asked to address the issues when it comes to safety on the N25.
"As we all know the N25 was built for half the amount of traffic that is on it today. Junctions coming onto that go back hundreds of years and were made for horse and cart.
"I would ask the roads department to come up with some sort of a plan to address the 'brutal' junctions coming onto the road."
