The film has already won an impressive seven Irish Film and Television Awards, including Best Film and Best Actress, but it's now also been declared a record-breaking movie.
According to The Guardian, An Cailín Ciúin has already quadrupled the previous record for an Irish-language film/
It has already grossed over €610,000 since its release in mid-May.
The previous highest-grossing film in Irish was 'Arracht' - a famine-era drama, that earned 164,000 between Ireland and the UK last year.
An Cailín Ciúin is still being shown in cinemas across Ireland - including in Dungarvan Shopping Centre.
