A Waterford man has renewed his appeal for anyone who may have information on his missing sister to come forward.
Gerry Keenan appeared on Beyond The Vanishing Triangle, a new RTE crime series last night to renew his appeal for information on his sister Imelda.
At the time of her disappearance, the then 22-year-old lived on Williams Street in Waterford, with her boyfriend.
At approximately 1.30pm on January 3, 1994, she left her apartment and told her boyfriend that she was going to the post office.
The last reported sighting of Imelda, originally from Mountmellick, County Laois, was near the Tower Hotel on the morning on January 3, 1994.
Gerry told Deise Today that he believes she may have been missing longer.
"Imelda was reported missing on the 3rd of January 1994. That dates stick in our head, but we believe that she may have actually been missing a few days before, though that's the date that we have to go on", he told Damien Tiernan.
"Deep down in my heart, I know that there are two or three people holding back vital information. Our sister didn't just walk out into the street and disappear. 99.9% of people who go missing, they do know whoever is responsible. I don't accuse people. I have my suspicions and will point the gun at someone but won't pull the trigger because I believe that everyone is innocent until they are proven guilty."
