Planning permission is being sought to construct almost 100 residential units on the outskirts of Waterford City.

Jackie Greene Construction Ltd is seeking to develop 99 residential units at Knockboy in Waterford City.

The proposed development will consist of 55 two-storey houses - 19 of those will be four-bed with the remaining 36 as 3-bed houses while 44 apartments will be developed across four four-storey blocks. They will range from 1 to 2-bed apartments.

A creche is also included in the development along with 181 car parking spaces and 80 spaces for bicycles will be accommodated within 4 storage facilities.

Waterford City and County Council is expected to give its decision by the 25th November.
