A similar warning for Cavan, Monaghan, Louth, Meath and Westmeath will run from 8pm on Saturday until 6am on Sunday morning.
Met Éireann warned of potential flooding, difficult travel conditions and disruption to outdoor events.
The forecaster said the downpours will be made worse by already saturated ground conditions.

It also said tides will be very high along all coasts on Saturday night.
Some walkways and car parks along Dublin's coastline have been closed. Parts of Cork have also been shut, with the city council warning of "significant tidal flooding".
Gardaí in Bandon, Co Cork, said the Kinsale to Garretstown road was impassable due to flooding.
People in the Kinsale area were urged to remain cautious as high tide approached with heavy flooding in the area.
There will be further showers and more prolonged spells of rain on Sunday, with some slow-moving heavy downpours bringing the chance of localised flooding.
