Another Waterford community has been left heartbroken this week as a young teenager has passed away, months after an accident.
13-year-old Aisling Kennedy from Glasha in Ballymacarbry passed away in Temple Street Children's Hospital on Tuesday night.
She had been hit by the wing mirror of a passing van just a few yards from her home on Thursday, the 7th of April.
Aisling was a 1st year student in Presentation Secondary School, Clonmel.
Paying tribute to her, the school say she "fought a brave battle" with her injuries and that she was a "very popular and vibrant member" of their First Year group.
It is with great sadness today that we remember our underage club player Aisling Kennedy, who sadly passed away after a valiant fight against the injuries she sustained in an accident before Easter. Aisling will be missed by us all. Our thoughts & prayers are with her family. RIP pic.twitter.com/M7H2SiLyBB
