It was a good night for the Irish provinces in the Guinness PRO14 this evening as Munster hammered Zebre and Ulster secured an impressive victory over Edinburgh.
Munster 52-3 Zebre
Waterford's Thomas Ahern scored his first try for the province alongside Dan Goggin, Damian de Allende, Darren Sweetnam, JJ Hanrahan, debutant Seán French and Craig Casey as Munster eased to victory in this one.
It was Ahern's first time starting for Munster, joining fellow Waterford man Jack O’Donoghue in the pack. It was also the first time two players from Waterford have started for Munster at this level.
Hanrahan was named man of the match.
Edinburgh 14-43 Ulster
It's eight wins out of eight for Ulster this season.
John Andrew scored a hat-trick of tries, Stewart Moore scored one, Jordi Murphy scored one and John Cooney scored two.
