Leading healthcare company GSK Ireland is officially opening a state-of-the-art energy plant at Dungarvan.
The €8 million euro biomass facility is only the second of its kind in the country and will reduce the site's carbon emissions by 33 per cent.
The organic fuel facility uses sustainably produced wood-chip instead of oil to reduce emissions and increase profits.
Site Director Brian Fox says it brings GSK's total investment over the past 24 months to €23.2 million euro, showing a major commitment to the town and its people.
GSK Ireland supports over 700 jobs in Dungarvan.
