Waterford singer/songwriter Gilbert O'Sullivan enthralled a local audience in the first of five sold out homecoming concerts at The Theatre Royal last night.
The Cork Road native performed well-known classic hits during the eagerly awaited concert.
In March this year he was awarded the Freedom of Waterford at a ceremony in City Hall.
Speaking to WLR News at that ceremony, he pledged to return to Waterford to perform in the near future.
Having initially announced two dates, three extra concerts were later added due to huge demand.
Tickets for the concerts sold out quickly when released earlier this year.
Further concerts take place tomorrow (Thursday), Friday, Monday December 9th and Tuesday December 10th.
