Gardaí in Waterford are urging the public to report any issues related to the People's Park.
The call comes following recent acts of vandalism and anti-social behaviour at the popular city amenity.
Two Big Belly solar powered bins were set on fire and destroyed last week, while on Saturday, an imitation firearm was seized by Gardaí in the park.
Local councillors have called for increased Garda patrols and more lighting.
Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Deirdre O'Neill believes a "collaborative" approach is key.
"It's a project which can be done in conjunction with councillors and other interested parties," she told WLR News.
She is encouraging the public to "take ownership" of the area.
"If they see anything suspicious, they should give us a call and maybe we can prevent something from occurring."
