A man in his late 20s has died after a stabbing in County Cork this morning.
Gardai in Carrigaline were called to the scene at about 3.30am where the 27-year-old was discovered with serious injuries.
He was treated at the scene but died shortly afterwards, his remains are still there and the state pathologist has been notified.
A second man, in his mid-70s, attended Cork University Hospital with stab wounds last night and is in a serious condition.
Gardai have arrested a 42-year-old man and are appealing for information from anyone who was in Carrigaline or Passage West in the early hours.
