Gardaí attended the scene of a criminal damage incident in Waterford City last night.
WLR news understands that a house was petrol bombed in Clover Meadows, Ferrybank.
The occupant of the house contacted WLR this morning to say the property received extensive damage.
Damage was done to the front of the house, no persons were injured and investigations are ongoing.
