There was further vandalism in Waterford's People's Park this week.
The most recent incident saw two Big Belly solar powered bins being set on fire and destroyed.
Fine Gael Councillor Frank Quinlan has reiterated his call for increased Garda patrols in the area along with improved lighting.
"These bins cost nearly €2,000 each," he told WLR News. "I can't understand who would do such an act of mindless vandalism or why."

He pointed out that other bins in the park have been burnt out within the last year also.
Playground and gym equipment have also been vandalised in the past.
"There are constantly issues with the People's Park," said Cllr Quinlan.
