The funeral will take place this morning of the young Waterford man who died in a drowning accident last week.
21-year-old Cian Nugent from Old Parish got into difficulty while swimming with friends at Whiting Bay, Ardmore on Friday afternoon.
The UCC student will be laid to rest in Old Parish following his requiem mass at 12 noon today.
His family have requested that any donations in Cian's honour be made to the RNLI.
