First ever Waterford Digital Awards to take place this evening

Waterford Digital Awards hosted by the Local Enterprise Office Waterford will take place at Dooleys Hotel this evening (October 28th). 

The awards aim to recognise and reward SMEs based in County Waterford who have developed their ecommerce and digital platforms as part of their product offering.

The shortlists for each prestigious category have been revealed with a spread of industries and locations from all across the county.

An independent judging panel consisting of Julie Smyth, Novartis, Eoin O’Mahoney, Red Hat and Stephen Kearney, Cosmos.ie were tasked with the tough job of selecting the finalists.

The Overall website/social media of the year winner will be announced at the awards night tonight in Dooley’s Hotel, along with each category winner.

The winner of each category will receive €1,000 towards technical advice, photography, videography and marketing. The overall winner will receive €2,500 in cash.

The judging panel was extremely impressed with the entries in this the inaugural year stating, “These awards are an opportunity to reward those who have made the extra effort with their website, digital and social media platforms. We found the level of entries exceptionally high and there seems to be an advanced level of digital prowess within the business community in Waterford. It wasn’t easy but we are very happy with our decisions.”
