Major roadworks in Waterford City have encountered another delay - on account of expected inclement weather conditions.
Works commenced on Monday, October 16 which has seen the traffic reduced to single-lane traffic on the approach to the Farronshoneen Roundabout, while there are also detours in place.
The aim of the works, according to Waterford City and County Council, is to improve safety for pedestrians when travelling in the vicinity of the roundabout.
It is expected that the works will continue up to Christmas.
In a statement today, the local authority outlined:
"Due to forecasted inclement weather conditions, Phase 2 of Farronshoneen roundabout works, which were due to commence on Wed, Nov 1st will be postponed to Monday, Nov 6th
Phase 1 is currently ongoing and temporary traffic management system remains in place."
