Gardaí are investigating all circumstances surrounding a burglary in the Farronshoneen area of Waterford last week.
On Tuesday, February 20th at approximately 12.10pm, Gardaí responded to reports of a burglary in a home in the area.
Entry was gained through the rear window, activating the house alarm. However the suspects had left the scene by the time Gardaí had arrived.
Significant damage was caused to the property, and a number of items of jewellery were stolen. These included a distinctive blue emerald and diamond ring.
Gardaí are asking for assistance from the public, given that the incident took place during the daytime in a heavily populated area.
