A full report on the problems found at the Mount Suir apartments should be presented to councillors.
That's one of the calls that was made at last night's Metropolitan District meeting.
The council told WLR last week that a tender will be issued in the coming months for roof work to address an issue with moisture retention in their apartment complex.
Councillor Donal Barry has requested that a detailed report be compiled after two separate investigations, one by the council's engineer and another by a roofing specialist, claim there are no leaks.
"I'm finding it very hard to understand that we're spending a six-figure sum on a roof that's not leaking," he said.
Councillr Barry wants the report to include the problems residents are facing, what caused these problems and what went wrong, a guarantee that works will get completed, and an assurance that something like this will not happen again.
At the same meeting, Councillor Seamus Ryan asked for an assessment to be carried out on all 18 apartments in Block C.
He requested that they receive urgent attention.
"This is not just about mouild on walls. This is about water streaming in through the walls, water coming down through electric fittings, very, very dangerous," Councillor Ryan said.
Councillor Barry and Councillor Ryan are not the only councillors to have raised the issue of the apartments.
WLR has been informed that Councillor Jim Griffin, Councillor Joe Kelly, and Councillor Barry have all visited the apartments to see first-hand the problems that are occurring there.
