Residents of Ferrybank have voiced their concerns over the former Ard Ri site.
That's according to Councillor Eamon Quinlan who said a video has surfaced on social media which appears to show youths partaking in a challenge on the roof of the former hotel.
Speaking to WLR News, he says parents need to ensure their children are not partaking in the dangerous activity. He added:"
In the last couple of days, myself and others have received reports from locals that a game has developed amongst teenagers in which they run across the roof of the hotel and they film it. Such video footage has been posted online and has been seen by people in the Ferrybank area."
The Ard Rí closed its doors on Dec 23rd, 2005. In the 17 years since the closure, the site has remained idle. Much controversy remains around the vacant site including anti-social behavior and reports of arson.

Eamon continues to say: "It has led to a call for parents to talk to their children and to not engage in this dangerous activity. The Ard Rí hotel has been closed for a number of years and it has been subjected to a number of fires. The structure and integrity of the building is unknown. It is not a safe activity and I would appeal to the parents of these areas to ensure their children are not engaging in these activities."
