A man has died having fallen ill on the Comeragh Mountains earlier today (Monday March 28th)
An alarm was raised for emergency services at 12pm today when the man in his 70s fell ill, as a result of a medical emergency - with Rescue 117 among those tasked to the scene.
Tramore Garda Station confirmed to WLR that the man was swiftly airlifted from the mountains, but sadly passed away a short time later.
