Gardai in Waterford are appealing for witnesses following an assault and theft in the St Herblain area of Waterford City.
On Sunday the 29th October at 11.15 pm, a man in his 30s was walking home from work.
He was in St Herblain in Waterford City between the two green areas, when he heard fast-paced footsteps behind him.
On turning around, he saw three hooded men and the next thing he remembers is waking up on the ground.
The victim had been robbed of a sum of cash and received injuries to his wrist and torso.
The public are being asked to contact the crime unit at Waterford Garda Station if they observed this incident.
