Emergency services at scene of Waterford City collision

There's been a collision involving multiple cars on the Outer Ring Road in Waterford this morning.

It happened near the Butlerstown roundabout.

The road will be closed for a number of hours with local diversions in place - but any injuries sustained are not believed to be serious.

It's understood both lanes of the road are blocked so drivers should avoid the area if possible.

Drivers are also being urged to allow extra time this morning because of lingering heavy fog in some areas.
